Yes. This competition is open to all tech startups from around the world who are

• less than 5 years and received less than US$10 million funding by 31 March 2019; or
• individuals who have not yet established any companies;
• focuses on one of these categories: Artificial Intelligence & Robotics / FinTech / Health Technology / Smart City
• accept the terms and conditions as set in the rules and regulations

HKSTP will subsidise the overseas company/individual ONE round trip economy ticket to Hong Kong if he/she is being shortlisted in the 100 startup finalists.

Individuals with innovative ideas may also apply.

To make the trip more fruitful for the overseas contestants, a number of activities will be arranged from 5-7 November including pre-pitch workshop, one-on-one mock pitch, visit and many more.

100 startup finalists will be announced on 20 September 2019. Please also take note of the following important dates:

• 6 September: Application closes
• 7 September - 19 September: Screening and selection by organising committee
• 20 September: Announcement of the 100 startup finalists
• 5 November - 7 November: One-on-one mock pitch and pre-pitch workshop
• 8 November: Elevator Pitch Competition

The champion will receive a cash prize of US$100,000

Tech Winners (x4) will receive a cash prize of US$10,000

You can put “N/A” if you really face difficulties in completing those sections. But your input for the “Business Valuation” and “Revenue Model” sections will facilitate the investors to understand more about your business potential which will directly affect the investment opportunity. “Company Logo” in the form is optional and is for promotional purpose only. The organiser will publish the 100 startup finalists’ business overviews and logos (if any) in the event booklet.

No. Only ONE representative from each company will pitch in the elevator and present on stage.

No. All the pitches and presentations should be in English.

Yes. You can apply even if your company is not registered in your name. If you are being selected as one of the 100 startup finalists, you can nominate any representative from your company to pitch and present in the elevator.
