Mr.Li obtained his BBA and MBA degree from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. After five years of service in a Japanese bank, he elected to join the life insurance industry in 1986. He was head hunted by AMP, the largest insurance company in Australia as general manager for sales and marketing in 1991. AMP Hong Kong was acquired by East Asia Aetna in 1996. He was appointed Regional Director until today. The company is now called FWD.

Mr.Li is a renowned financial writer since 1989. His daily column “City Warrior” in the Hong Kong Economic Times attracted very high readership.

Mr.Li was the founding president for the Rotaract Club of Chung Chi College, back in 1979. That inspired him founding the PIE program to help hundreds of mainland university students coming to Hong Kong.

Mr.Li is very active in serving the public. He is founding member and director for the Chinese University Alumni Charity Fund. Recently, he accepted the role of board director for the ACCESS Health International, a world class think tank sponsored by the Rockefeller Foundation.
