Daniel Chan has over 20 years of banking experience. His career spans across sales and marketing, commercial lending, product management, business strategy and organisational development within banking.In the past decade, he has held senior management positions in Business Banking, The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited, both in Singapore and Hong Kong, leading the business through periods of change and achieve sustainable growth.

Daniel is currently the Head of Business Banking in Hong Kong. One of his key priorities is to bring HSBC to the forefront during the fast-evolving digital era, ensuring the Bank is offering a simpler, faster and better banking experience to customers. In 2017, HSBC was the first commercial bank to launch Virtual Assistant, “Ask Amy”, a chatbot solution supporting customer enquiries across multiple channels. HSBC is also a pioneer in providing WeChat notification service for Hong Kong business customers who opt to receive designated transactions and account information through this channel. To further promote international connectivity, HSBC Connections Hub was launched to enable Hong Kong entrepreneurs to network with overseas HSBC customers.
